Peter W. Sognefest
President and CEO of SEAMOC
Mr. Sognefest has provided leadership for establishing factories in Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Mexico, Puerto Rico, United States and Vietnam.  All were successful and became extremely valuable for the United States parent company.

He is an entrepreneur with 18 years of experience as a CEO, and he is a former vice president of Motorola.  He has been operating in Southeast Asia since 1984, when he established his first offshore manufacturing  operations in Taiwan and Singapore for a company he founded, Digital Appliance Controls Inc. (DAC).  DAC grew from start-up in 1984 to $20 million in revenue in 1991 when it was sold to Emerson Electric.  He managed two turnarounds after the sale of DAC.  The LH Research  turnaround was accomplished with a successful start-up of a factory in Malaysia to manufacture power supplies.  He joined Xymox Technologies, Inc. in 1996.  He successfully started manufacturing plants in Mexico and Vietnam at Xymox.  Xymox grew from $12 million in FY 1996 to $34 million in FY 2002 for an annual compound growth rate of 19 percent during his six-year term as Chairman and CEO.  He is now President and CEO of SEAMOC Inc.

Mr. Sognefest  also serves on the boards of directors of II-VI, Inc. (NASDAQ IIVI),  Pillar Induction   and Waukesha Tool and Stamping.  He heads the compensation committee at II-VI, Inc.  He is also a member of the Executive Board of Buckingham Capital Partners.  Buckingham Capital Partners is currently establishing a $150 million fund for leveraged and management buyouts and recapitalization.

He is a member of IMC (Institute of Management Consultants) and TMA (Turnaround Management Associates).

The University of Illinois has honored him with two alumni awards.  He has received the "
Distinguished Alumni Award" from the Electrical Engineering Department and the "Professional Service and Achievement Award" from the College of Engineering.

He earned BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering at the University of Illinois.  In addition he completed his PhD course work at Carnegie Melon University in Semiconductor Device Physics.

Before becoming Seamoc's Chief Representative in Shenzhen, China, Jack Qin worked for Nokia (China) Investment Company at their Dongguan Factory where he held positions of Buyer, Supervisor, Sourcing Manager. His most recent position at Nokia was APAC RML Manager. In his supervisory position Jack managed a team of 5 buyers purchasing electronic components for Nokia Mobile Phone and Accessory Products. Prior to joining Nokia he worked for Dongguan Delta Electronic Co. Ltd. as a sub-contractor buyer for electronbic and magnetic parts for Power supplies and Adaptes for IBM, Dell and HP Computers. Prior to joining Dongguan Delta Electronic Co. Ltd. Jack worked for DEMET Imp. & Exp. Co. reporting to the export manager.

He earned a bachelor degree from The University of Guangxi in International trade management with a second bachelor degree from Chemical Engineering College, University of Guangxi in Chemical Analysis
